characters The Seventh Tide The Seventh Tide characters ✓ 104 A teenage shape shifter called Eo A boy from the sixth century called Adom And a girl from the twenty second century called Jay What do they have in common Well they're all One silly mistake of Eo has put his entire community of shape shifters in danger Now he has to travel through time collecting gifts and champions to win a game which would decide the fate of his people Along the way he is joined by Adom a sixth century boy and Jay a girl from the 24th century who are pulled into the traveller by accident All three of them now have to travel through time facing dangers and challenges they never thought they would ever face As they are skipping from one time period to the other they not only learn about each other but also start understanding themselves clearly Will Eo with the help of Jay and Adom be able to finish this game successfully or will his people be doomed to the kelpies because of himThe Seventh Tide has a uniue storyline which attracted me to it The representation of the future was also something different and interesting But the one thing that goes against this book is that even though the story is good it could have been written much better One crucial thing that the author forgot to keep in mind is that a book cannot be good only on the basis of a good story but also on the basis of how it is told Even the characters failed to connect to me Both Adom and Jay seemed to a get accustomed to the fact that Eo was a shape shifter and travelling through time uite fast The little surprise they felt over it was over after a few minutes This seemed a bit too unrealistic even for a fantasy book Even with all its defects The Seventh Tide is worth reading at least once just for its uniue and interesting story It is surely not a memorable book but offers something new for those who have got tired of the same type of fantasy storiesFavourite uote Well yes all right I am But I ll tell you something Professor I can t believe how much alive I feel I mean who would want to feel sad or scared or sick if they didn t have to But I ve been feeling all those and hungry and wet and cold and cross and lost and I still feel like I could leap tall buildings at a single bound like those superheroes in olden days Daft eh OverallGreat plotline but could have been executed betterRecommendedYes to those young adults who want something different in the fantasy genre
